I'm a creative director based in Amsterdam, with fifteen years in fashion, lifestyle and culture. I now concept and produce campaign imagery using generative tools: full editorial and product sets, directed the way a shoot is directed, without the crew or the location. Most AI imagery fails the same way: too symmetrical, too smooth, too clean. I work against that deliberately. Faces with asymmetry and texture. Skin that hasn't been retouched into plastic. Fabric with real weight and fall. Lighting built on a single clear setup rather than a glow. Restrained, but rarely straight. There's usually one thing in the frame that shouldn't be there: a bedspread made of diamonds, a tennis court that climbs the wall instead of stopping at the floor. Quiet enough to sit in a luxury campaign, odd enough to stop someone scrolling. I work this out with the client rather than delivering it at them. Most brands know their world better than they can brief it, so I'd rather sit in a call, pull at what they're actually after, and build the visual territory from there.
