Amiri (spec) · A Yalda Night in Laurel Canyon
Spec campaign for Amiri. Not commissioned.
Yalda is the Persian celebration of the longest night of the year. Families stay up until dawn with pomegranates, watermelon and poetry, waiting out the dark together. Mike Amiri’s Iranian heritage made me wonder what that night looks like when it’s hosted in Laurel Canyon.
So it’s a house party on the longest night, picking up where Amiri’s FW26 Laurel Canyon Fever campaign left off. The photography keeps the campaign’s direct flash and hard falloff, as if someone with good taste brought a camera and stayed far too late. Every shirt is unbuttoned one button too many.
The clothes aren’t sold. They’re left behind: boots on the bed, jeans outside the closet, the evidence of a very good night. The Persian traditions sit in the room the same way, never as costume, only as the details a guest who knows will catch.
Concept and art direction by House of Pari, made with AI tools. A reel is in development.
