Dior (spec) · A Persian Miniature With No Decorum
Spec piece. Not affiliated with Dior.
Five centuries of artistic tradition. One handbag. Absolutely no decorum.
A Persian miniature court, painted with all its usual ceremony, has a single problem: everyone wants the bag. Even the court has stopped pretending not to watch.
Persian miniatures flatten space on purpose. Floors tilt upward, rooms open like cabinets, and every figure gets equal weight. I used that grammar to stage a luxury dispute, so the whole composition bends toward one object. The bag keeps its real proportions and hardware while everything around it follows miniature logic.
This is personal territory. I’m Iranian, and the work asks what happens when a heritage visual language is allowed to sell something without being reduced to a pattern.
