Between shows
A self initiated fashion campaign set around fashion week rather than inside it. Not the show, but everything that happens on either side of it.
One woman, one pink suit, one enormous coat, and an armful of peonies she never puts down. The earring going in, the last look in the mirror, flowers left on a car seat, an empty runway seen through a gap in the curtain, then Paris between one show and the next.
The direction was to hold everything in one colour and let the materials carry the difference: wool, fur, silk, brown paper, peonies. A black polo neck and black sleeves keep the pink from turning sweet. The city stays grey and grand so the colour has somewhere to land.
It is a portrait of a mood rather than a product, which is exactly what a fashion campaign often has to be.
