Girlhood, in Motion: independent campaign concept for Sandy Liang (not commissioned)
A mixed-media campaign inspired by Chinese-American New York girlhood: Chinatown bakeries, subway platforms, brownstone stoops, school uniforms, bows, swans, and family memory. I paired grounded, photographic city scenes with flat, hand-painted storybook illustrations, letting the illustrated details bring a little fantasy into everyday New York.
I handled visual research, concept, art direction, AI-assisted image production, motion, and editing. I developed the stills as a consistent visual series, then used Kling to animate the illustrated elements while keeping the photographic scenes and clothing grounded.
Tools: generative image tools; OpenArt and Kling for motion
Deliverables: 4 motion pieces
